  • When the snow starts to fall around Columbus, OH, you'll be prepared in the new 2019 Outback. That's because every Outback model comes with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive so you can enjoy the utmost traction, balance and control regardless of the weather or terrain between you and your destination. The new Honda CR-V, however, comes with standard front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive models will end up costing you more.
  • Both vehicles offer impressive fuel economy both on the highway and in the city, with the slight edge going to the CR-V, but with 18.5 gallons of fuel capacity in the Outback and just 14 gallons in the CR-V, you can travel further on a single tank in the Outback.
  • All 2019 Outback models come with an Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system, featuring adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, and more. The CR-V also offers similar safety features, but they don't come standard.
  • If you have towing needs, the Outback is better equipped to handle them. The Outback can tow up to 2,700 pounds when properly equipped, compared to the 1,500 pounds of towing capacity from the CR-V.
  • Every Outback model comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility so you can seamlessly connect and control your mobile device on the go. The CR-V,  however, doesn't offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard.

  • All 2019 Subaru Outback models come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, providing you with the traction, control and balance you need to take on any weather conditions or terrain with confidence. The RAV4, however, comes with standard front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive equipped models will cost extra.
  • The Outback comes with a standard Starlink multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so you can enjoy hands-free control of your mobile device while you drive, including calls, messages, music and more. The RAV4 also comes with standard Apple CarPlay, but not with Android Auto on any models.
  • The RAV4 offers slightly more standard horsepower than the Outback does, but that's the only engine available on the RAV4. The Outback, on the other hand, also offers an available 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 256-horsepower.
  • The Outback offers more space for your passengers to stretch about than the RAV4 does with 108.1 cubic feet compared to 98.9 cubic feet in the RAV4.
